Helping children engage their bodies and minds through fun and educational activities
Play-Based Learning (EYFS)
Free Play
Engaging in unrestricted play enhances the lessons learned in the classroom. Before commencing formal classroom activities, we prioritize a Free Play session. This hour of unstructured play serves as a valuable opportunity for children to develop concentration and enthusiasm for their upcoming learning experiences.
Skill-Based Play
Learning based on skills enables children to apply and utilize the skills they have acquired in the course of their learning journey. This progressive educational approach aims to shape young learners into independent and self-assured thinkers.
Social Play
Playtime fosters social interactions, promoting teamwork from an early age. This collaboration enhances problem-solving abilities, encourages active listening, and establishes healthy communication habits.
Exploratory Play
Children excel in learning when actively engaged in hands-on activities, as opposed to passive listening or reading from books. The principle of “learning by doing” provides them with tangible experiences, particularly in grasping abstract concepts such as writing letters, numbers, and Chinese-language characters.
Sensorial Play
Engaging in sensory play is vital during early childhood as it contributes to brain development. Transitioning from informal to formal education, we offer a diverse range of hands-on and enjoyable developmental activities aimed at enhancing your child’s sensorial and fine motor skills. This approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also instils a lifelong love for acquiring knowledge.
Pretend Play
When children engage in imaginative play, they experiment with different emotions, roles, and concepts, expanding both their minds and imaginations. Pretend play is crucial for fostering children’s social skills and facilitating the regulation of their emotional development.
Logical Thinking Play
By engaging in play, children will acquire an understanding of predictability, problem-solving, spatial reasoning, turn-taking, and strategizing. These skills form a crucial foundation for STEM learning.
Competitive Play
When children participate in competitive play, they grasp the rules and guidelines of the game. They acknowledge the concept of winners and losers, learning the importance of good sportsmanship in the process. Additionally, engaging in such play empowers children to self-regulate, manage their emotions, and develop the skill of taking turns during the game.
